Founded in 1992, University of East London is a modern university with a heritage dating back to 1898. Ultra modern Docklands Campus, opened in 2000, is the first new university campus in London in the last 50 years. In the most recent National Student Survey, UEL is highly rated in the overall satisfaction of students in what concerns the following programs: accounting, architecture, civil engineering, electronics and electrical, media studies, politics, psychology and sociology.
Students have 24-hour access, 7 days a week to fully equipped libraries. Docklands library is housed in a next-generation building, equipped with 600 computers. UEL has a free shuttle service between the three campuses.

For students who wish to attend a bachelor's degree program at the University of East London, a first source of tuition funding, is the Tuition Loan Fee loan granted by the Student Loan Company which fully covers the costs of the tuition fee (£ 9,250 .).
For students who wish to pursue a master's degree program at the University of East London, the Student Loan Company offers the possibility of accessing a loan, up to £ 10,906. This amount can be directed both to pay the tuition fee and to cover the current expenses.
